See beauty in everything. I mean it, try to see a bit of beauty in everything. I have been practicing this and having fun with it. When I look at a spider (I hate spiders) I can now see a bit of beauty in how they spin their webs or scuttle up the wall. I have tried the same with flies but am still working on that one. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.
We don’t always appreciate what beauty is, or how much of it there is in each day. Whether it is the weather, a person, an object, a song, a piece of art, a flower, a tree or a grain of sand, it is possible to find beauty in everything.
There is no simple definition of beauty, we all see things differently and find joy and beauty in different things. There are many quotes on beauty that might help in the search for it.
Coldplay’s “Don’t Panic” is a lovely reminder of living in a beautiful world. A bit melancholic but also a haunting reminder that there is beauty in the small things we often forget to acknowledge or give thanks for.
Don’t Panic
Coldplay
Bones sinking like stones
All that we’ve fought for
Homes, places we’ve grown
All of us are done for
We live in a beautiful world
Yeah we do
Yeah we do
We live in a beautiful world
Bones sinking like stones
All that we’ve fought for
Homes, places we’ve grown
All of us are done for
We live in a beautiful world
Yeah we do
Yeah we do
We live in a beautiful world
We live in a beautiful world
Yeah we do
Yeah we do
We live in a beautiful world
Oh all that I know
There’s nothing here to run from
‘Cause here
Everybody here’s got somebody to lean on
